The Parents' Place of Maryland

Description of Services:

The Parents’ Place of Maryland (PPMD) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower families as advocates and partners in improving education and health outcomes for children with disabilities and special healthcare needs with a commitment to diversity and equity. As Maryland’s Special Education and Health Information Center, PPMD provides one-on-one assistance, trainings, resources and information, and referrals to Maryland families. PPMD’s staff and board are completely made up of parents and family members of children with disabilities and special healthcare needs. PPMD believes in a “families helping families” philosophy.
